Test method for measuring the cumulate clean mass (CCM) of formaldehyde in air purifier test chamber
A. Scope of 3m³ air purifier test chamber
1.The test method for evaluating the cumulate clean mass (CCM) of the cleaner for the specific gaseous pollutant (formaldehyde).
2.The cumulate clean mass (CCM) for the formaldehyde shall be evaluated by the accelerated test method. The accelerated test is performed in 3m³ purifier CCM test chamber.
3.This is only applicable to the test for the cumulate clean mass of the cleaner for which the clean air delivery rate (CADR) for the formaldehyde is not less than 40 m3/h.
Note: The cumulate clean mass for other gaseous pollutant may be evaluated by reference to this Annex.
B. Formaldehyde generation conditions
1.The continuous injection method or the single progressive injection method may be adopted.
2.For the continuous injection method, the input mass flow rate shall be controlled at 20 mg/h.
3.The single progressive injection method shall ensure that the peak concentration in each injection shall not exceed 100 times the concentration as specified in GB/T 18883.
Note: It is necessary to confirm the effective generation volumes by different formaldehyde generation methods prior to the test.
C. Test steps of 3m³ air purifier chamber
Perform the test for the cumulate clean mass of the formaldehyde according to the following steps:
a) Make the test evaluation and records for the initial value of the formaldehyde clean air delivery rate for the cleaner in accordance with the specifications;
b) Then place the cleaner into 3m³ air purifier test chamber, turn on the cleaner and adjust it to the rated condition, turn on the stirring fan, and close the door of the test chamber;
c) The single progressive injection method or the continuous injection method may be used according to the formaldehyde generation conditions of B to load the formaldehyde gas into 3m³ air purifier test chamber. When the formaldehyde is injected by the continuous injection method, the loading rate is 20 mg/h; when the formaldehyde is injected by the single progressive injection method, the injection volume is not more than 30 mg each time, and the number of injection times may be 5~6 within 8 hours;
d) When the injection volume measured after continuous or progressive loading reaches the specified injection volume in the step e), continuously operate for 1 hour, measure the formaldehyde concentration in the test chamber, take the total injection volume minus the stabilized residual formaldehyde content in the test chamber as the actual removal volume this time, then turn off the cleaner, and make the cleaner stand for 16 hours in the test chamber. Then place the cleaner into 30m³ air purifier test chamber, perform the test for clean air delivery rate of the formaldehyde and record;
e) Repeat the steps b) ~ d) to respectively obtain the clean air delivery rates when the cumulative injection volumes are respectively more than 300 mg, 600 mg, 1000 mg and 1500 mg. When the measured clean air delivery rate is less than or equal to 50% of the initial value, the test is ended.
f) The sum of actual removal amount in each loading test and removal amount in each CADR test is written as the total cumulative remove volume of the cleaner, and the grade of the measured cumulate clean mass shall be defined.
The above is the test method for measuring the cumulative purification amount of formaldehyde with the purifier CCM test chamber. If you have any questions, please visit the "Huanyi Instrument" website to consult relevant technical personnel.
