Instructions and precautions for battery combustion testing machine
The battery burning tester is suitable for the battery flame resistance test, and is manufactured according to the test standards of SJ/T11169, SJ/T11170, Ul1642, UL2054, etc. Using PLC touch screen control method, the test mesh screen is woven from stainless steel wire with a diameter of 0.43mm (0.017inch) into a mesh screen containing 20 meshes. The flame application time is 0~999.9 seconds ±0.1 seconds.
Instructions for battery burning test machine:
1. Before the test, please confirm: the battery combustion tester should be placed in a test room separately. Before the test, the window of the test room should be opened to maintain air circulation, and the propane cylinder should be placed at the level of the instrument. The farther the location is (this is very important).
2. Before using this machine for testing, please connect the connecting pipe between the air source and the control chamber.
3. Before testing, place the sample (battery) on the burning mesh screen with the central hole of the platen, and ensure that the battery is in the center of the central hole of the platen. Cover the metal mesh cover, and then cover the metal mesh cover.
4. Place the multi-layer gauze vertically in front of the control chamber, and the horizontal measuring distance from the center of the screen to the gauze screen is 0.91m (that is, the horizontal distance between the gauze screen and the chamber is 0.51m).
5. Start the gas switch. Because the gas pipeline is long, wait a few minutes for the gas to enter the Bunsen burner.
6. Press the "Ignite" button to ignite the Bunsen burner, and the "Burning Timer" will automatically start timing. At this time, the flame gradually turns blue and the temperature rises.
7. The battery starts to be incinerated. Observe the burning state of the battery until the sample explodes or the burning of lithium occurs. Press the "Stop Combustion" button, the "Burning Timer" will stop, and the time used for this combustion can be read on the timer, and the data of this test time can be recorded.
8. To finish the test, please turn off the gas source; to ensure that the gas has been completely burned and there is no residual gas in the gas pipe, press the "ignite" button until the flame goes out, and then turn off the power.
9. If you need to replace the battery and enter the next round of testing, please repeat the above steps, and confirm that the residue from the previous test has been cleaned before replacing the battery, and will not affect the next test result.
Reminder: If the residue on the battery burning screen is not easy to clean, please continue to burn the screen until the residue is burned out.
