High and low temperature test steps for smart switches
With the development of smart homes, more and more electrical products have entered the era of intelligence. Smart switches are one of them. So how do the high and low temperature tests of smart switches? According to the standard DB35/T 1618-2016, let's share the test steps below.
Reference test equipment: high and low temperature test chamber
1. High temperature performance:
After placing the switch in a constant temperature and humidity test chamber at 55°C for 1h, operate the switch 10 times under normal working conditions at a high temperature of 55°C ± 2°C, and the switch should work normally.
2. Low temperature performance:
After placing the switch in a constant temperature and humidity test chamber at -20°C for 1h, operate the switch 10 times under normal working conditions at a low temperature of -20°C ± 2°C, and the switch should work normally.
In addition, since the shell of the smart switch will age, the smart switch should be tested for aging resistance.
Set the temperature in the heating chamber to 70 ℃ ± 2 ℃. The sample is stored in the heating chamber for 7 days. After the above treatment, the sample is taken out of the heating chamber and placed at room temperature and relative humidity between 45% and 55% for at least 4d.
The sample should not have normal or corrected visually visible cracks with or without additional magnification, and the material should not be sticky or greasy.
At this point, the environmental test of the smart switch is over. In addition, mechanical durability and drop tests are required. If you want to know more about the test methods in this area, you can consult us.
