81m³ purifier performance test chamber
Purpose of usage:
The 81m³ purifier performance test chamber is often used to test the performance of air purifiers,
especially the purification function of air purifiers.

Construction requirements:
1. For the particle test, the concentration of particles above 0.3 um should be less than or equal to 1 000/L;
2. For the gaseous pollutant test, the concentration of formaldehyde, toluene and TVOC should be less than
50% of the corresponding limit value of GB/T 18883, and it should also meet the requirements of particulate
matter test;
3. For the test of gaseous pollutants other than formaldehyde, toluene and TVOC, in addition to meeting the
above two requirements, the background concentration of the corresponding target pollutants should not be
higher than 50% of the GB/T 18883 limit.
Test steps:
1. Before the first test of the prototype, it should be run at the maximum gear for at least 1h under the
specified test conditions. After the trial operation is over, install the prototype into the test chamber and keep
the prototype closed;
2. Remove all other items in the test chamber that are not related to the experiment, and open the purification
module to purify the background of the test chamber. If the background concentration of the gaseous target
pollutant to be measured is lower than the relevant requirements of GB/T 18883-2002, start the temperature
and humidity control device to ensure that the test chamber meets the specified test conditions at the
beginning of the test;
3. Turn on the power monitoring and data acquisition system of the purifier performance test chamber;
4. Start the purification system of the test chamber, and close the purification system when the PM2.5
concentration in the test chamber is not higher than 1 μg/m³. After closing the purification system, test the
background concentration of carbon dioxide in the 81m³ purifier performance test chamber, expressed in %;
5. Feed carbon dioxide into the test chamber, turn on the stirring fan, after reaching a certain amount, stir the
stirring fan for another 10 minutes;
6. After stirring for 10min, use three carbon dioxide analyzers to measure the initial concentration of carbon
dioxide respectively, and take the average value to calculate as the initial concentration of carbon dioxide
C0. The initial concentration of carbon dioxide at the beginning of the test should be (0.5% + background
concentration ± 0.01%); during the test, the stirring fan has been kept on;
7. After the initial concentration in the purifier performance test chamber is measured, turn on the new
fan to be tested, start the maximum gear, and the time of opening is T=0 min. At the same time, carbon
dioxide concentration collection starts. Collect and record once every 1 min, the continuous measurement
time is the theoretical test time T, and T is calculated according to the formula;
8. Turn off the new fan, start the exhaust system of the test chamber, the carbon dioxide concentration in the
test chamber is not higher than the background concentration, close the exhaust system of the test chamber,
and open the test chamber.
